Welcome to our eco-friendly home — a beautifully renovated, solar powered townhouse in the heart of Brooklyn. You'll have the entire 2 bedroom top floor apartment (on the 3rd floor) to yourself, with newly finished kitchen and bathroom, washer and dryer, original artwork, peaceful garden views, and lots of natural sunlight. Just a 3 minute walk to the Rockaway Ave stop on the AC line, and 30 minutes to downtown Manhattan. A tranquil retreat on a quiet tree lined street in Brooklyn.

THE SPACE:

Our sunlit top floor apartment accommodates up to 2 guests (and 2 children) comfortably. The space is elegant and modern, fully furnished with all of the comforts of home — extremely comfortable beds, fully-equipped kitchen, complimentary coffee/tea and filter water, bed linens and luxury blankets, plush bath towels, Smart TV with Netflix + Amazon Prime, high-speed Wi-Fi, and much much more. There's also a washer and dryer, free to use (a rare find in NYC!)

THE LAYOUT:

Each bedroom includes a double bed with an eco-friendly mattress, a dresser and closet space, and armchairs for relaxing. One bedroom has three large windows that face the street, and the second bedroom has one window with peaceful garden views. All windows have blinds as well as curtains, so you can control just how much light you'd like.

The kitchen/living room is charming and cozy, with a dining table for four, a skylight for natural light, beautiful exposed brick, and floor-to-ceiling shelving with all the storage space and serving ware you may need. Our fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal for preparing a gourmet meal or whipping up something quick after a long day of exploring. We also provide a coffee and tea station with a drip coffee maker, French press, and locally roasted Brooklyn coffee. Enjoy!

Our apartment is solar powered, which we are super excited about. From our linens and towels, to our amenities and cleaning supplies, we aim to be as eco-friendly (and toxin-free) as possible. There is central heating during cooler months, and window AC units for warmer days.

*Please note, this apartment does not have access to the private backyard garden on the ground floor. This is an apartment in a two-family townhouse. There is a 2nd separate apartment on the ground floor, below this apartment.

WHERE YOU'LL BE:

Far enough from the city hubbub to get a relaxing night's sleep and wake to birds chirping, but close enough to catch a direct train into Manhattan in less than 30 minutes. The best happy medium we've been able to find in NYC!

This area is still very much residential. There are a few cafes, restaurants, and galleries within walking distance, and more and more are starting to pop up. Some of the most delicious and up and coming restaurants in Brooklyn are only a few train stops away (we love Saraghina, L'Antagoniste, and Peaches). Conveniently there is lots of free street parking, and it's usually easy to find a spot in front of our house (just be mindful of alternate side parking rules).

GETTING AROUND:

The Rockaway Ave subway stop on the C train is just 3 blocks from our home. It is about a 25 min ride to lower Manhattan and 45 min ride to Times Square.

*Please note, the closest subway entrance to us is at Thomas S Boyland St, NOT at Rockaway Av. Walk towards the Thomas S Boyland St exit and then you'll be just 3 blocks from us.

We're centrally located in between JFK and Manhattan. A 20-30 min cab ride from/to JFK, or about 1 hour by public transportation.

The A/C subway line runs through some of the most iconic NYC destinations, including DUMBO, Wall Street, Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich Village, West Village, Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park. Great for tourists, or for anyone needing to get to city hubs efficiently, with minimal transfers.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations up to 14 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 14 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 7 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
